What This App Does
This calculator gives you a fast, accurate estimate of your monthly payment for both Finance (buying with a loan) and Lease. It's designed specifically for {{BRAND}} buyers. It accounts for sales tax, dealer fees, government fees, trade-in tax credits, and even odd-days interest on your first payment.
Use the simple view for a quick estimate, or open Advanced Options to fine-tune every detail. You can switch between Finance and Lease at any time using the toggle at the top.

3. Enter your vehicle price, down payment, term, and interest rate (or money factor for lease).
4. The result updates automatically as you type. No need to press anything.
5. Tap "Show Advanced Options" to add trade-in, rebates, fees, and extras for a more precise number.
6. Use the Reset button to restore all defaults. Click the X inside any input to clear just that field.
7. When you're happy with the estimate, tap Email, Copy, or Share to send it to {{DEALER_SHORT_NAME}}. On mobile, you will also see a Text button.

Finance vs Lease — Which One?
Finance means you own the car at the end. You pay the full price (minus down payment and trade-in) over your term, plus interest. Best if you plan to keep the car long-term or drive a lot of miles.
Lease means you rent the car for a set term and return it at the end (or buy it out). You only pay for the depreciation during the term, plus a rent charge. Best if you want lower monthly payments, like driving a new car every few years, and don't drive excessive miles.

State Tax Notes
The State selector fills in the state-level sales tax rate for vehicles. Many counties and cities add their own local tax on top — add that to the Tax Rate field if it applies to you.
Trade-In Tax Credit: Most states reduce the taxable amount by your trade-in value. A few (California, Hawaii, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Virginia) do not. The checkbox is set automatically when you pick your state, but you can override it.
Lease tax: Most states charge tax on each monthly lease payment, but some collect it upfront. Use Lease Tax Method in Lease Details to match your state; if you are unsure, confirm with the dealership.

Estimate Notes
- Local / County Tax: Added to the state rate. The combined rate is used everywhere.
- Taxable toggles: Under Optional Products and Rebates, mark which items your state taxes. Rules vary by state.
- Due at Signing (Lease): Down payment + first payment + government fees + security deposit + any upfront lease tax. Acquisition and doc fees are capitalized.
- MSRP (Lease): Residual value is based on MSRP. Enter the sticker price if it differs from your selling price.
- Miles per Year: Shown on the quote. It does not change the payment unless the residual you enter reflects it.
- Loan-to-Value (LTV): Amount financed ÷ vehicle price. A high LTV (for example, with negative trade equity) may limit approval.
- EV / Hybrid: Enter only incentives applied at the point of sale and any registration surcharge due at purchase.
- How interest is estimated: Simple interest, 30-day months, with odd days before the first payment. Actual lender math can differ by a few dollars.
- Clear & Reset: The Reset button restores every field to its default. The X icon inside an input clears only that specific field.
- Desktop vs Mobile: The Text (SMS) button is hidden on desktop computers (it is not typically used there). Use Email, Copy, or Share instead.
Estimate only. Not an offer or commitment to lend or lease. Subject to credit approval and final taxes and fees.
